Ride the Etape Suisse

An unrivalled weekend of sportive cycling, socialising and luxury in Davos Klosters, in the idyllic Swiss Alps from 5th-8th September 2014.

Etape Suisse offers 150km of challenging cycling and 3000m of climbing on blissfully smooth roads, beautiful Alpine scenery, top luxury accommodation and a packed programme for cyclists and their non-cycling companions both day and night. Riders will have the chance to compete in a time trial, enjoy guided rides and a cycling festival.

The main route takes in the magnificent Albula and Fluela Passes. The largest of the four main feed stops will be at the Suvretta House in Saint Moritz, offering a great opportunity for the Tifosi (non-cycling companions) to visit the iconic resort as well as cheer on the riders. A shorter 114km route with 2600m of climbing will also be available.

It’s a weekend for the non-cycling companions (Tifosi) too. As a top Alpine resort and world-leading conference location, Davos offers everything from hiking to shopping; from golf to spa treatments; from electric bike rides to leisurely lunches. And that includes the children, too, with babysitting and fun activities organised during their stay. In addition, Tifosi can enjoy the cycling festival, as well as meet up at selected beauty spots along the course to cheer on the riders, later meeting them for Sunday lunch in St. Moritz.

Following AprèsCycle entertainment on Friday evening, the action begins on the Saturday morning when teams will race against the clock and each other in the team time trial.
Saturday’s Inspiration Forum will offer the chance to socialise and enjoy inspirational guest speakers. Further fun and entertainment is guaranteed at the CycleFest during the day and AprèsCycle in the evening.

Following Sunday morning’s Etape Suisse main ride, with a number of options available to suit varying abilities, the weekend concludes with Sunday’s Charity Gala Dinner and Awards Ceremony. An auction will raise money for the sports charity Laureus and items include rides with pro-cyclists and the incredible opportunity to ride in a BMC team car at the Tour de France.
Etape Suisse co-founder Robert Simpson says: “Etape Suisse is a unique combination of cycling, fun and luxury. I am really looking forward to taking part in the inaugural event in Davos”

Prices start from £1200 per rider, £1050 per non-rider (excluding flights, including early bird discount available until end of April 2014). Book online at www.EtapeSuisse.com
